The stainless steel ball will seat into a gas resistant rubber O ring for a great seal. All years. The Zenith float level is 5/8" from the machined surface of the upper half of the carburetor to the gas level. Use a baby food jar to watch the gas level. Zenith threads are 1/2-20.
